We are developing ispaces next rover missions that will prospect for lunar water and thereby set the first milestone toward lunar ISRU. ispace Europe core engineering competences are in lunar science, rover navigation, mission planning, data processing, and mission systems engineering. Role description The Robotics Engineer will be responsible supporting ispace Europes current RD projects as well as leading and developing her or his own. The position requires a strong candidate passionate about handson work in our analogue lunar lab and who is comfortable with developing and debugging both hardware and software. Your first job will be to develop and benchmark robotic systems before implementing them on our flightready hardware. You will to build a Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping solution together with our SLAM expert and electrical system engineer. This new SLAM capability will improve the localisation knowledge of our rovers, as well as produce topological maps of the environment and its resources.
