Responsibilities Duties We want to support EUMETSAT in the ongoing procurement of the Ground Segment of the MTG and other tasks related to the QAPA processes related to the MTG system. As part of our team, you will be tasked to implement EUMETSAT QA and all relevant applicable Standards, Technical and QA documents, Procedures and Working Practices that are applicable to the ongoing projects phase of current and future geostationary Earth Observation satellites. Out of a range of QAPA tasks, you will ensure that the assigned MTG processes are implemented in accordance with their relevant QA working practices and procedures. suggest and support the establishment of improvements of the available QA documentation, aiming at process efficiency and synergy. contribute to the establishment of metrics to measure the effectiveness of the main processes within the assigned areas. Provide proactive suggestions for process improvement, based on these metrics and other observation. provide service to the MTG Ground Segment Teams in order to ensure that Quality Assurance policies and methods are taken into account during all involved lifecycle phases and Provide dedicated QA service to the production of the technical and programmatic documents relevant to the MTG Programmee, MTG Ground Segment and its facilities and elements and all other QAPA related tasks in the MTG programme at EUMETSAT Qualifications Experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Engineering, Physics, Computer science, etc. Significant handson experience in QAPA processes, definition, implementation, monitoring and control, and QAPA metrics Significant experience in the implementation of QA policies and methods in procurement contracts for complex product such as ground segment systems Experience in providing QA support to SW products throughout their complete development lifecycle Experience in following HWSW products integration and verification Essential Skill Knowledge and application of aerospacespace QAPA standards Knowledge and experience in applying ISO 9001 standards Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite Capability of producing and releasing in autonomy Minutes of Meeting and QA reports Experience in application of risk management and lessons learned processes Desirable Skills Knowledge of requirement management tools, e.g. DOORS Experience of working in programmes involving different partners Experience in related developments Further Details Requirements Europass CV Benefits Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days holiday, generous training possibilities, Telespazio VEGA Deutschland pension scheme is offered to the successful candidate. Responsabilities Duties Development and maintenance of Mission Control Applications following formal software engineering processes. Experience in the customization of Spacecraft Monitoring Control applications Good knowledge of programming and scripting languages i.e. CJava, Python Desirable Skills Knowledge of the Mission Control System interfaces with the Mission Planning Systems function and the Flight Dynamics Systems. Experience with test tools for Spacecraft Monitoring Control System, e.g. Satellite Simulators. Experience in IVV integration, verification and validation definition e.g. test plan, test procedures for Mission Control Applications. Linux Operating System. Tasks and Responsibilities In this position you will be part of our Clients electronic equipment design and test team for satellite electronic units and you will work in an international project environment. Perform detailed electronic design activities for analogue and digital circuits based on given equipment level specifications including design documentation design description and design analyses up to the generation of the manufacturing files PCB layout, assembly instructions, bill of materials Ensure design consistency with the needs of other disciplines e.g. mechanical design, radiation engineering, manufacturing and test Plan and perform design verification activities as the generation of verification plans and test procedures Define, build and test specific EGSEs Plan and conduct the qualification acceptance test sequences according to approved test procedures and document the test results in test reports. Position Reference 568 As a Ground Segment System Engineer, you will contribute to maintaining the overall system design documentation of the existing and future systems and multimission elements MMEs. As a Principal Engineer, you have a BS from an accredited university or equivalent 8 to 10 years of experience. You have experience in the analysis of systems applications and modelling. You have experience in the field of Systems Engineering and architectural design for ground segment systems. You have the capability to prepare and manage ICD. You have experience in the use of modelling and design languages for System Engineering e.g. SysML and tools in support of architectural design activities e.g. Vitech CORE, Enterprise Architect. You have a good knowledge of space and ground system engineering processes, and system and software lifecycles and standards. You have experience in Model Based Systems Engineering MBSE methods, techniques and tools. Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS. You have experience in Integration, Verification and Validation IVV of complex systems. You have knowledge and experience in Satellite monitoring, control systems including Flight Dynamics and SC Simulator aspects and Data processing.
