Raytheon to deliver AN/APY-10 radar for US Navys P-8A Poseidon aircraft

A 42-year-old man has been charged with endangering the safety of an aircraft after a transatlantic flight was forced to divert to Ireland. The United Airlines plane was en route from Rome to Chicago yesterday when the captain made the decision to touch down at Belfast International Airport.

NASA and DLR Partner for research into advanced aircraft.

Extending years of vital inter-agency cooperation, NASA and German Aerospace Center (DLR) have signed agreements to work together to reduce aircraft noise and advance research into rotorcraft. First agreement pertains to researching methods for predicting aircraft system noise and establishing validation guidelines for comparison. Under second agreement, agencies will develop blade imaging technique that will allow study of airflow over helicopter blades while in flight.

Wizz Air Selects V2500 Engines for 17 Aircraft Order

The V2500 engine is offered through IAE International Aero Engines AG, a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders comprise Pratt & Whitney , Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines. This new order supplements an existing order for 179 V2500 engines, bringing the new total number of V2500 engines in Wizz Air's fleet to 213, including spares.

UK Royal Navy tests remote-controlled aircraft to inspect warships
