This is a permanent position, calling for experience of website applications involving Java EE development and Oracle. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in February 2015. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The main working language is English. The role will embrace Design and development of Java EE applications working with Oracle databases and the WebCenter content management system Maintenance of established COTS systems Some maintenance of Access applications The key experience and attributes sought are At least 5 years experience in the design and development of website and Intranet applications using Java EE 7 and Oracle 11g database technology At least 3 years experience in developing with JSFFacelets, JSP and Servlets At least 3 years experience in developing with JPA Hibernate, TopLink Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, XML, XSTL Knowledge of Oracle SQL Knowledge of Windows Proven experience of formal documentation, preferably in a ISO 9000 certified project and service environment Knowledge of some of the following would be advantageous Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Integrating applications in Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Glassfish 4 administration Integrating and customising COTS systems Maintaining Visual Basic for Applications and MS Access applications Systems with Web ServicesSOAP, LDAPAD Reporting tools e.g. Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, SAP BI UML and Design Patterns ITIL, in particular with respect to change and configuration management Candidates should possess a University degree or equivalent. Software Engineer Mission Control Applications mf The Mission As part of their focus on reuse of generic software and procedures, our customer EUMETSAT seeks consultancy support in the area of mission control for future missions. The Challenge The Terma candidate will support to EUMETSATs Mission Control Applications and Tools Team, contributing to the requirements specification, design and development of Mission Control Applications for new Programs PhaseBCD, including the setting up of the related maintenance arrangements and processes. Tasks can be expected to include contributions in the following areas Definition and maintenance of EUMETSATs mission control applications reference architecture Definition, functional analysis and decomposition of the ground segment requirements Consolidation of the mission control applications requirements within the operational concept Identification of verification methods and initial test cases Reuse of EUMETSAT mission control application kernel products in the ground segment requirements Production of design models Definition and documentation of interfaces with other ground segment and external elements, i.e., production of IRDsICDs Procurement monitoring of internal and external contractors This is a full time position, located in Darmstadt, Germany, and is provisionally scheduled to start as early as December 2014. Your Qualifications We seek a selfmotivated person, comfortable cooperating with others and equally able to independently toward seeing a problem through to solution. Essential skills are 3 years experience in the definition of system requirements andor production of system architectural design artefacts in the domain of ground segment mission control applications. This experience is to include satellite monitoring and control, mission planning and flight dynamics 3 years experience in the software maintenance and evolution of satellite monitoring control systems based on MICONYS software suite, including specific experience with the telemetry and commanding chains, archive and automation Practical experience of the space related standards ECSS and CCSDS specifically, standards applying to packet utilization, space packet protocol and space link extension protocol 5 years experience developing mission control applications according to formal software engineering processes. Specific experience with user and system requirement analysis, software requirement engineering, software design, implementation, corrective maintenance and postdelivery extension 3 years experience with the integration, verification and validation of mission control applications. Specific experience with requirement verification, system and subsystem integration, test planprocedure generation, nonregression testing, production and analysis of test data, generation of test tools, generation, test reporting and anomaly tracking English fluency the working language Desirable skills are Experience with mission control applications for low earth orbiting spacecraft Experience with spacecraft simulators Familiarity with the DOORS requirement management tool Familiarity with the CORE systems engineering tool from Vitech Familiarity with the Enterprise Architect tool from Sparx Systems Familiarity with the Linux operating system A university or polytechnic degree in aerospace engineering, information technology, or other relevant subject Some experience with data model design for relational database management systems Some experience with XML processing, especially schema design, validation, parser libraries, transformation XSLT and XPath Some experience with Eclipse Rich Client Platform applications development and maintenance Some experience using tools for software test automation Previous experience in a similar consultancy role, i.e., as resident consultant operating onsite within a customer organization Some exposure to the EUMETSAT organization Possession of documentationpermits for working and living in Germany Previous livingworking experience in Germany, or else previous experience living outside your home country or else extensive experience working closely with international partners Terma offers At Terma, we consider skilled employees, enthusiasm and job satisfaction as the very foundation of our success and as a prerequisite for the development of the bestinclass solutions that Terma provides.
