A vacancy for an Electric Propulsion Electronic Responsible mf has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. You will join the Electrical Propulsion MSC team. The OneWeb project aims to provide permanent and affordable web connectivity throughout the worldwide. Airbus Defence Space was selected by OneWeb as a partner for developing and producing a new generation of 900 satellites, leading to a revolutionary change in our Space industry, creating the first mass production of satellites in History. You will lead engineering activities related to the development of new electronics, driving electric propulsion thrusters for a new telecom satellite application. You will report to the head of Electric Propulsion department in the Telecom Satellites Business Unit in Toulouse. You will handle the following tasks be the focal point Equipment Functional Responsible within the Electric propulsion group for all topics linked to this new electronics development be responsible for the new development technical specification from first issue up to the final validation and qualification review with support from the procurement team for supplier relationship management and from the Electric Propulsion technical authorityfocal points for technical aspects define and set up the appropriate development plan and industrial scheme with support from the procurement team and validate compliance with the technical specification for your development work in collaboration with the Electric Propulsion and System architects and participate in the analysis of propulsion chain design performance and justification file and qualification status versus the satellite projectcustomer requirements participate in the different equipment andor satellite project reviews Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, Test Review Board interface with other architects in various areas mechanical, thermal, electrical, functional, modelling and the procurement, AIT and operations departments Travel on a monthly basis to suppliermanufacturing premises. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to a Masters degree level in electronics At least 3 years of experience in power electronics in highvoltage electronics development for space projects Ability to work within a team environment Capability to interface with different technical areas e.g. mechanicalthermalelectricalfunctional Rigorous, good communication and synthesis skills Negotiation level in English.
