Nod coworking space is opening a free public lab that would allow entrepreneurs, developers and others to create new "Internet of Things" technologies using products from Austin-based Freescale Semiconductor. The partnership is part of an effort to encourage the Dallas tech community to participate in the IPSO Challenge hosted by the Internet Protocol for Smart Objects Alliance.
