We are currently looking for a Senior Satellite Hub Engineer to support our customer in the United Kingdom Goonhilly, Cornwall. Senior Satellite Hub Engineer On the eve of the launch of our customers fourth satellite, HYLAS 3 and fifth satellite HYLAS 4, this role represents a great opportunity to contribute significantly to company growth playing a principle role in expanding its presence in new locations and markets. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Your tasks will include but not be limited to Ensure maximum network and service availability through proactive maintenancemonitoring Provide customerfacing 2nd and 3rd line support for satellite equipment, legacy remote wireless, and inhouse operations support systems Provision of customer network services on core equipment Provide support services for service design, transition, and operations Frequently update satellite hub manager of the HubsNOCs status The company operates 24x7 services so the successful candidate will be required to participate in the oncall rota and shift system to support out of hours emergency support and routine maintenance. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Excellent understanding of satellite communications, VSAT technology, and RF equipment Demonstrable experience in satellite hub management and Operations Experience of working at a senior level within a satellite hub support team Operational experience of Gilat, Newtec, iDirect and Hughes network systems Network Operations Centre experience within a satellite communications or ISP environment Willingness to work occasional long hours under pressure in geographically dispersed locations Ability to successfully apply skills and experience to master new hub technology to become technical subject matter expert Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skill.
