Pakistan has experienced a new sharp depreciation of the rupee whereas the Sri Lankan currency has again fallen over the ongoing political crisis in the country. The euro and the pound have also been weak, nevertheless. Turkey has experienced a sharp increase of its inflation rate in September which should however not affect its clothing exports, thanks to a dramatic fall of its currency this year. Other emerging countries like India and Pakistan have also benefited from a decline of their currencies, whereas being however able to control their consumer prices.
