Omega Protein has sunk a retired fishing vessel about 20 miles from the mouth of the Pascagoula River for use as an artificial reef. Officials tell The Mississippi Press that the Barataria Bay's exact location will be kept secret for one year to allow the reef to develop undisturbed.
