Senior Communications PR Specialist Ref SES0797 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES Category Marketing Communications Position Staff Published 20160427 Context You will be responsible for Public Relations PR and external communication including Institutional Communications the organisation of news flows and narratives including in Social Media, and the production of narratives, messages, collaterals and the structured exchange in the Communication Group including PR agencies Responsibilities External news flow Prepare, produce and translate press releases Produce content across multiple media and for multiple audiences, including policy makers Support and coordinate global and regional PR activities and campaigns by developing communications packages such as media kits, QAs, briefings documents Feed an online platform that serves as a think tank for worldwide networks of PR agencies and regional PR colleagues and to also align all global communication messages worldwide Positioning and profiling Develop PR and communications strategy and tactics for specific market verticals Develop, prepare and execute public and media relations activities for specific regions, and managing the respective PR agencies and working closely with the local PR teams Speeches and position papers Support the production andor review of high level speeches CEO and MC level and Institutional position papers Ensure effective communication of SES messages to institutional expert audiences Leverage in due time updated information from internal knowledge networks and help producing winning messages to policy makers, regulators and space agencies Experience Qualifications University degree e.g. Communications, Journalism Six to seven years of relevant experience in communications including Institutional communications Understanding of the European and Global Institutions environment Editorial and journalistic experience Interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills Ability to effectively interface with diverse and globally dispersed internal and external customers Ability to work flexibly under tight deadlines and rapidly changing circumstances and juggle multipledetailed projects Proficiency in common computer programmes Project management and execution skills Demonstrated selfstarter, creative and autonomous Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to compose and edit new material quickly, in response to new opportunities Excellent English and strong knowledge of French Our Offer Competitive salary package, coupled with a diverse array of challenges and development benefits.
