Shoppers in Gateshead got the chance to visit the famous Coca Cola Christmas truck on Thursday as the holidays rolled on to Tyneside Proving a big hit year after year, the truck was once again at Metro Retail Park for an eight hour stint, giving the thousands who flocked there plenty of time to get their picture taken in front of it and enjoy some Christmas songs from a specially assembled gospel choir. The truck, the star of the now iconic 'holidays are coming' Cola-Cola advert, is on a nationwide tour and had already called into the likes of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newquay before its more heralded stint in Gateshead.
