Overview The principle tasks and responsibilities include Provide support to the Agency in the thermal engineering design, analysis and verification area related to the sections thermal control activities. Support the thermal control activities project support and RD activities of the Section in the area of hisher specialization. Support the maintenance and upgrading of thermal mathematical models. Support thermal verification test campaigns for ongoing ESA projects by performingreviewing test procedures, test predictions and test correlations and attend the tests if required. Support ESA project reviews and the European standardization activities. Specific qualification requirements Master degree in relevant discipline Thermal Engineering or equivalent. Background in analysis methods, numerical analysis, data management and a general knowledge of space thermal engineering. Very good knowledge of Agencys thermal analysis tools, e.g. ESATANTMS and some knowledge of other CAE tools such as IDEASTMG, Thermica. Experience in development of software products. Knowledge of the STEPTAS data exchange protocol and software libraries. Very good background and experience in thermal modelling and analysis as well as thermal spacecraft design and verification. Very good background and knowledge of spacecraft system aspects. Proficient in the English Language Spoken and Written. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration.
