Japan's domestic sales of new cars, trucks and buses increased 1.4% from a year earlier in May, industry data showed Monday, after demand had dropped sharply a year ago due to a consumption tax increase in April 2014. Sales totaled 209,889 vehicles in May, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association said.
