Broadway Bridge reopens to traffic at 8 pm on October 27

The Broadway Bridge will reopen to motor vehicle traffic at 8 pm on Tuesday, October 27 following a two-week closure to install scaffolding over traffic lanes for a painting project. The reopening will allow TriMet to resume service on the 17-Holgate/Broadway bus route across the bridge. Portland Streetcar will also resume service across the bridge.

NJ Transit gets $16M grant for rail bridge replacement

The state has received a grant to move forward with a project to replace a 105-year-old bridge that is a frequent chokepoint for Northeast rail commuters. The state's congressional delegation announced a $16 million grant to New Jersey Transit for the Portal Bridge over the Hackensack River on Monday.
