Former Agere 'Emerald Palace' headquarters sold

An investment firm has purchased the former headquarters of Agere Systems off Route 22, one of the Lehigh Valley's most distinctive commercial properties, with plans to upgrade and nearly double the office space. Patriot Equities LP of Wayne, Delaware County, did not disclose the sale price for the 600,000-square-foot office building that was built for Agere at a cost of $165 million.
