Miniature Displacement, Position Sensors have IP65-rated housing.
2015-12-22 14:31:07| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Utilizing differential sensing technology, inductive displacement Inelta IZAL series sensors ensure precise path length measurements in confined-space applications. Housing of these LVDT sensors has 4 mm dia, and interior provides complete differential transformer measuring system with core and coils. With contactless and wear-free design, displacement and position sensors achieve linearity tolerance of ± 0.5% (0.25% optional) and are designed for measuring ranges of 1, 2.5, and 5 mm.

Gadget Ogling: Long-Lasting Smartphones, Burglar-Busting Drones, and Ski-Obsessed Sensors
2015-12-19 19:00:00| TechNewsWorld
If the dream for many in the modern world is to have a smartphone that never needs a charge, Oukitel's K10000 is a pretty good runner-up. The smartphone is named for its 10,000mAh battery. When subjected to "normal" use, it's good for 10 to 15 days between charges. Given that many smartphones will need some extra juice after around 10 hours of typical use, that seems a tall order.

Wireless Sensors Could Make Diesel Engines Greener
2015-12-15 17:14:26| Electronics - Topix.net
In a two-year study with New York City garbage trucks, the startup's sensors cut the frequency and duration of filter regeneration in half, which produced a 1 to 2 percent fuel savings. This can be significant for fleets of trucks, such as those in the study, which use roughly 5,000 to 8,000 gallons of diesel fuel annually.
