KAMPALA, UGANDA - The Uganda Sugar Board (USB) is soon to become a reality and oversee the industry which in recent years has seen a sharp rise of sugar milling factories. Cabinet has approved and passed on to Parliament the new sugar Bill to streamline management and licensing of sugar mills. The Bill, which was drafted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, also provides for a regulatory framework.
