(Telecompaper) A new online TV platform called Waipu.tv has launched in Germany. It's backed by the company Exaring, in which Freenet invested earlier this year to develop its TV business. Wapiu.tv users do not need a set-top box; the service works over Android and iOS apps. Google's Chromecast is also supported, and more devices will be added soon, the company said.
