Ariane 5, Product Assurance and Safety Support Engineer, based at the European Space Agency, Paris, France For our activities in the European Space Agency, we are currently seeking to employ a Product Assurance and Safety Support Engineer to provide support to the ESA Ariane 5 Exploitation Product Assurance Surveillance Manager for designated projects. You will support by conducting, monitoring and assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme, by being responsible for PA Safety support for Ariane 5 Operational Launch System Project OLS, Launchers Ground Segment Project GS, with occasional support to Future Mission Project. Specific Tasks Verifying PAS requirements are taken into account by OLS, GS projects Support to OLS GS Project managers, and keeping a close relationships with the PAM other PAs, coordinating with the related CNESDLA PA S support. Demonstrating of appropriate application of Management Specifications in coherence with ECSS Review of contractors PARAMS plans, specifications and effort proposed for the execution of the OLS and GS PAS projects preparing the arrangement for approval of PAS documents engaging ESA responsibility Guiding and monitoring the implementation of PAS requirements by contractors including NCR, Waivers, Problems, Critical Items and systematically tracking all items in order to assess performance and effectiveness Participation in design, acceptance TRR, TRB and safety reviews, directing the necessary preventive or corrective actions Representing ESA in Boards established within the projects for the disposition of Nonconformances, Failure Reviews, MRB, Acceptance Reviews, Test Reviews, etc. Reporting project PA status, deviations from plan and schedule of all of above, to the project Management and the Ariane PA and Safety Manager Organizing, with the support of CNES, supporting Quality and Maintenance audits as necessary Supporting project development reviews, preparation and follow up, organization of documentation key points, participation in Project review as Quality animator Establishing quality status reports, reporting on PAquality issues Anomalies, Waivers, Alerts ensuring correct treatment, monitoring reporting on the Critical items safety issues Responsible for project RAMS management activities status Organizing, with the support of CNES, support Quality and Maintenance audits as necessary Establishing monthly Product Assurance and Safety synthesis in close cooperation with the PAM and PA Safety support RAMS, technologies Other tasks in the PAS domain maybe required based on project needs. The tasks may require frequent missions in Europe and French Guyana Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require a University degree, minimum of MSc, in a Science andor Aerospace related subject together with a minimum of 6 years PA experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the aerospace domain. For our project in Noordwijk in the Netherlands we are looking for a Product Assurance and Safety Support Engineer fm at ESTEC. Tasks Support the ESA PA Safety Manager for designated projects in conducting, monitoring assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme. This includes support to any or all of the following activities PA Safety Support, tasks required will likely be mainly in the QA area, in relation to system AIT e.g. IRRs, NRBs, inspections, TRRs, PTRs, with special emphasis to be placed on critical processes e.g. crimping and bonding, with active oversightinspection Establishing the PAS requirements baseline for all elements of the project, in compliance with the ESA general Product Assurance and Safety policy Produce and implement plans, define inputs, outputs, participants, responsibilities, interfaces, coordinate efforts of participants, and produce resulting consolidated inputs. Reviewing contractors plans, specifications and effort proposed for the execution of the project PAS programme Produce reports of review activities performed e.g. documents reviewed, checklists used, spot check performed and conclusionsrecommendations. Monitoring project PA status identify relevant PA issues, including NCR SPR Waivers Problems Critical Items and systematically tracking all items. Produce monthly reports of monitoring activities performed e.g. inspections, checks, visits, reviews, including conclusions and recommendations. Assessing the implementation of PAS requirements by contractors, participating in design and safety reviews and directing the necessary preventive or corrective actions Produce monthly reports with assessment activities performed e.g. documents reviewed, checklistsused, spot check performed, contribution to design and safety reviews, and activities related to preventivecorrective action. Representing ESA in the Boards established within the project for the disposition of Nonconformances Failure Reviews, Test Reviews, etc. Produce reports of participation to boards, indicating the contribution made to these boards e.g. review of agendas, participants, minutes of meeting, action follow up, closeout. Guiding and monitoring the application and procurement of EEE parts, materials and processes and controlling implementation of applicable requirements Produce reports on guidance provided, monitoring activities performed and status of compliance to applicable requirements. Monitoring the manufacturing, integration and test activities with quality assurance audits, mandatory and key inspection points, test witnessing and configuration inspections Produce report on activities performed with conclusion and recommendations. Defining the formal acceptance requirements and conducting the Acceptance Reviews of all contractual deliverable items Produce and implement plans for the preparation of the formal acceptance requirements, defining steps, inputs, outputs, participants, responsibilities, interfaces, and coordinating efforts of participants to produce resulting consolidated inputs to project documents. Produce also reports on the activities performed for conduction of Acceptance Reviews. Supporting the organisation management of the support from all PA disciplines Controlling NCR Waivers Problems Critical Items. Produce meeting agendas, check that all inputs are available for the NRB or CCB, check that all needed participants are involved, produce NRB or CCB minutes of meeting, followup on actions identified, ensure proper nonconformancewavierproblemcritical item closeout. Produce also reports on control activities performed. PA for the verification, qualification, acceptance delivery activities. The launch campaign. Participating in progress meetings and CCB meetings. Produce inputs to the meeting and whenever requested, produce meeting agendas, check that all inputs are available, check that all needed participants are involved, produce minutes of meeting, followup on actions identified, ensure proper closeout. Participating in all project reviews, including safety reviews. Produce reports on all review activities performed e.g. documents reviewed, checklists used, spot check performed, conclusions and recommendations. Reporting project PA status deviations from plan schedule of all of above.
