After more than two years of litigation, Waste Management has pulled the plug on its appeal of the state Department of Environmental Protection's approval of the revised Clearfield County solid waste management plan. On Aug. 7, the Environmental Hearing Board accepted Waste Management's withdrawal of the appeal.

Cinven pulls out of Telekom Slovenije acquisition

(Telecompaper) UK investment fund Cinven has officially withdrawn from the acquisition of Telekom Slovenije. The Slovenian state asset holding company SDH confirmed that Cinven submitted a letter, stating that it has finally given up on the deal. Cinven was the only bidder to submit a binding offer for a 72.75 percent stake in the Slovenian telecommunications operator.

Safeway pulls out of popular program supporting schools, nonprofits
