Michigan data centers want same tax breaks Switch is demanding
2015-12-07 15:26:31| Furniture - Topix.net
As state legislators debate tax breaks requested by a Nevada firm that wants to build a giant data center in Gaines Township, no one is watching the action more closely than the data center operators who are already here. Members of the Michigan Data Center Alliance want to make sure they're treated equally if Nevada-based Switch gets tax breaks it is requesting in exchange for creating 1,000 jobs and investing $5 billion in the former Steelcase pyramid.

SIS Live Select Enigma Matrix Switch To Handle Live Broadcast Feeds At New UK Teleport
2015-12-03 10:59:48| rfglobalnet Downloads
The SIS LIVE company is unique in its ability to design, build, operate, and support uplink and production vehicles in-house. The company delivers 80 percent of the UK’s live news contribution feeds and offers service levels in excess of 99.8 percent uplink ability. In 2012, SIS announced the development of a brand new teleport that would deliver high quality and reliable broadcasts. ETL Systems was able to provide the new Enigma transmit and receive matrix distribution system designed to route signals and form the backbone of SIS’ Salford operations. This case study discusses how ETL’s matrix switch system ensures SIS LIVE is delivering broadcasts of the highest quality to its customers, with a focus on high linearity and enhanced flatness.
NOAA Selects Enigma Matrix Switch For Goes-R Series Uplink And Downlink Signals
2015-12-03 10:14:37| rfglobalnet Downloads
NOAA is a leading international agency that works to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, oceans, and coasts, and provides timely access to global environment data from satellites and other sources for protecting America’s economy, and security. The NOAA needs to utilize high quality and expandable switching systems to receive and transmit this important data. ETL Systems provided NOAA with and IF switching solution which satisfies the requirements for all the GOES satellite uplinks and downlinks. This case study discusses how the matrix switching systems from ETL enables NOAA to ultimately save lives, protect the environment, national security, and quality of life.
