GNSS Propagation and SBAS Processing Design Engineering Support for EGNOS

Specific Tasks Task 1 Support to the coordination and critical assessment of all propagation and associated design related issues within EGNOS Project Office including algorithm assessment and recommendations Task 2 Support to the animation of an international technical subgroup e.g. contributing to IWG Technical Subgroup related to GNSS and Ionospheric modelling and processing e.g. for iono gradients and scintillations Task 3 Participation and contribution to multimodal e.g. Aviation, Maritime GNSS standardisation groups for what concerns propagation effects modelling and processing e.g. scintillation, multipath Task 4 Support to the management of several RD projects related to GNSS related propagation e.g. MONITOR, Multipath Studies, Interference mitigation Task 5 Support to the preparation and validation of ionospheric model data and delivery to EGNOS V2V3Evolutions Contractors Task 6 Support the coordination with TEC support with respect to propagation related subjects o modelling of the navigation propagation signals using stateof theart software tools and databases o modelling of ionospheric propagation conditions and their effects on SBAS satellite navigation missions Task 7 Support the definition of campaigns to serve RD and other EGNOS project needs e.g. for scintillation monitoring. Task 8 Assist the Head of EGNOS Systems Engineering Section with the planning and execution of RD activities as well as in managing the necessary software tools and databases related to IONO modelling and processing. Task 9 Supporting several projects, the service provider will be involved in project reviews for EGNOS e.g. V2V3 system and subssytem reviews at algorithm level Requirements Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, physics or Computer science with proven knowledge and experience in the fields of Algorithms, Navigation and related data. Knowledge and experience in EGNOS standards e.g. MOPSSARPS Knowledge and experience in EGNOS integrity continuity justification files Knowledge and experience in EGNOS system algorithmic performance related design justification in particular concerning propagation effects algorithmic solutions in SBAS Knowledge and experience in GNNS signals and RD projects Experiences in, procurement of industrial activities. Your core support will be to activities mainly corresponding to various stages of the Detailed Design Phase C of a given programme under definition and development, and Phase D Implementation and Validation, as contribution to Integration, Verification and Validation. The main emphasis is on the payload data ground segment of the EPSSG programme. This covers payload data acquisition ground stations and data processing elements. You shall perform typical system engineering activities in the lifecycle of a system, such as Requirements engineering mainly related to the verification processes, and encompassing downward and upward traceability, allocation and apportionment, and management with respect to verification control databases and the verification process. Support to the preparation and execution of the testing, integration and acceptance of procured elements. Support to the installation of ground segment elements at sites, and their integration into the overall Ground Segment system. Verification and validation IVV of the integrated Ground Segment Review of System, Space Segment and Ground Segment documentation dealing with requirements, concepts, algorithms and technical analyses of relevance for data processing, including review of calibration concepts defined by the Space Segment with emphasis on their implications on Ground Segment data processing concepts, interfaces and architecture Participation in formal reviews and technical meetings at System and Ground Segment level. Systems Engineer you shall have demonstrated experience in the above requirements, with emphasis on overall systems engineering aspects of payload data ground segments. IVV Engineer you shall have demonstrated experience in the above requirements, with emphasis on IVV of payload data ground segments.
