Responsabilities Duties Development and maintenance of Mission Control Applications following formal software engineering processes. This includes user and system requirement analysis, software requirement engineering, software design, implementation and maintenance activities Interfacing with the Mission Operations Teams Support to the Ground Segment engineering activities i.e. requirements, external interfaces and design consolidation, in the area of the Mission Control Applications, Support to Mission Operation Teams during Satellite Launchand early Orbit Phases LEOP Participation in verification readiness reviews and verification testing campaigns both internal and at client site to the Mission Control Applications. Qualifications Experience Software engineer with minimum 3 years experience in the development, operation maintenance of satellite control systems e.g. SCOS2000, EGSCC Essential Skills Fluency in English Experience minimum 3 years in the full cycle of development and maintenance of Mission Control Applications following formal software engineering processes. This includes user and system requirement analysis, software requirement engineering, software design, implementation and maintenance activities. Experience in the definition of Ground Segment system level requirements and production of system architectural design artefacts in the domain of the Mission Control Applications. Experience in the definition of software requirements and architectural design and implementation of Spacecraft Monitoring Control applications. Experience in the customization of Spacecraft Monitoring Control applications Good knowledge of programming and scripting languages i.e. CJava, Python Desirable Skills Knowledge of the Mission Control System interfaces with the Mission Planning Systems function and the Flight Dynamics Systems. Experience with test tools for Spacecraft Monitoring Control System, e.g. Satellite Simulators. Experience in IVV integration, verification and validation definition e.g. test plan, test procedures for Mission Control Applications. Linux Operating System. Knowledge and understanding with actual working experience of space related standards ECSS and CCSDS concerning spacetoground interfaces and applicable to Satellite Mission Control Systems such as ECSS Packet Utilization Standard PUS, CCSDS Space Packet Protocol SPP and CCSDS Space Link Extension Protocol SLE. Mission Control Systems Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As Mission Control Systems Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities Requirements engineering mainly related to the verification processes Maintenance of System Technical Documentation Creation of System Engineering models of Ground Systems using an MBSE approach Perform technical analysis of system architecture and specification evolutions Contribute to the IVV testing approach for major evolutions and new operational systems Contribute to development Projects and to the definition of the IVV activities Engineering Tasks providing System Engineering expertise to CRBs and ARBs Impact analysis of ICT evolutions in operational systems Analysis, investigations and resolution of system and ground segment level anomalies Provide expert inputs to System Engineering tasks Design of mission control and operations ground segment elements Planning, preparation and execution of integration and verification activities Participate to the description of the system architecture and interfaces between external systems and the mission specific elements of the ground system. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in engineering or another relevant discipline Profound knowledge of and experiences in several of the following disciplines Analysis of systems applications and modelling Systems Engineering and architectural design for ground segment systems Prepare system requirements and design documents, and to perform systemlevel analyses for complex satellitebased systems Writing technical requirements preferably to ECSS standards Mechanisms and tools for detailed interface definition. Preparation and management of ICDs. Modelling and design languages for System Engineering e.g. SysML and tools in support of architectural design activities e.g. Vitech CORE, Enterprise Architect Space and ground system engineering processes, and system and software lifecycles and standards Model Based Systems Engineering MBSE methods, techniques and tools Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS Experience in Integration, Verification and Validation IVV of complex systems Satellite monitoring and control systems including Flight Dynamics and SC Simulators Data processing Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
