Investors are buying Kate Spade shares by the bagful this afternoon with shares up nearly 20% following its solid third quarter report. For the period ended Oct. 4, Kate Spade reported a profit of $9.1 million , or seven cents a share, compared to a loss of $16.9 million, or 14 cents a share a year prior and per-share earnings from continuing operations of two cents a share, compared with a loss of 12 cents a year ago, while net sales rose to $250.4 million.

Honda Ordered To Deliver Air Bag Documents To NHTSA

U.S. safety regulators on Wednesday ordered Japanese automaker Honda Motor Co to provide documents and answer questions under oath related to the government's ongoing probe of potentially defective air bags installed in millions of recalled U.S. vehicles. The air bags were made by Japanese supplier Takata Corp, which received a similar order last Thursday from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Monday it will examine whether Honda Motor Co Ltd failed to report deaths or injuries involving air bags that are now part of a sweeping federal review. Regulators gave Honda three weeks to answer detailed questions about how it sought and logged accident reports for more than a decade.
