AGCO Corp. Chairman, President and CEO Martin Richenhagen 's total compensation decreased for the third year in a row in 2014. In a proxy filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission , the Duluth, Ga.-based agricultural equipment maker reported it gave Richenhagen a total comp package worth about $10.7 million.

Irving Oil has agreed to contribute $75 million to a compensation fund established for those who suffered losses as the result of the July 2013 train derailment in Lac-Megantic, Que. The contribution would be in addition to a US$200 million settlement announced in January, with more than half of the money going to various levels of government.

U.S. Steel president and CEO Mario Longhi received compensation valued at $13.2 million last year, up from $5.6 million the previous year, according to a proxy statement being sent to shareholders. The compensation of Mr. Longhi, the architect of an aggressive efficiency campaign named the Carnegie Way, included stock and option awards valued at $7.5 million and $4 million in nonequity incentives.
