Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Manage completion of corrective actions to closure Measurement and analysis aid and direct continuous process improvement Work Rework Instruction approval Supervision of Hardware Critical moves Safety Reviews FMEA Risk Reviews Produce concise management reports, presentations, minutes and actions, using Microsoft Office Promote and lead good practice and improvements in MAIT processes Management of Quality Improvement initiatives Provide assurance and confirmation that Hardware is ready for test and delivery Production of Quality Surveillance Plans Quality assurance throughout Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test lifecycle in Stevenage Quality assurance of MGSE and EGSE used Quality Assurance Inputs to Project gate reviews MRR, TRR DRB Occurrence and NonConformance management to Closure 1 level Management of Closure 2 corrective actions Measurement and analysis of Nonquality events in MAIT to aid and direct continuous process improvement Work Rework Instruction approval Process audits on MAIT activities FMEA Risk Reviews Quality Assurance inputs to delivery handover meetings Key Inspection Point activities Quality Assurance postdelivery support Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory HNCHNDDegree in Aerospace Previous experience as a Quality Product Assurance engineer in the aerospace, military or space industries. Proven track record of delivering high end projects. Good communicator, able to lead and influence at all levels internally and externally Organised, practical and logical in work approach User and promoter of quality tools and methods, particularly risk management and metrics. Ability to accomplish validation activities at height using above ground level support structures Good agility required to access and work in confined spaces Flexibility to travel within the UK and Europe when required Willingness to work on shift, oncall or offsite for short periods when required Analytical skills and methodical approach to problem resolution and investigation HNCHNDDegree in Aerospace Lean, continuous improvement qualifications, Green or Black belt would be desirable Working times will include double day shifts Shift early 06.00 14.00 and shift late 14.00 to 22.00. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Collate AIT NCR lists and status from the AIT QA teams at project level from AIT. Use Pandora, ensuring continuity of inputs for project review. Collate AIT build reconciliations and open points e.g. open work orders, at project level Chair AIT gate reviews MRR, IRR. Ensure open actions from KIPs and MIPs are managed and tracked during all AIT phases. Manage 2nd closures Carry out audits Deploy QUEST Chair posttest reviews for functional verification activities. Post delivery Manage definition and closure of open items. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a recognised engineering apprenticeship andor equivalent academic qualification with at least 5 years AIT, Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience within the Aerospace or Military industry, You have at least 2 years within AIT Quality Assurance Role or product assurance role, You have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, You have analytical skills and methodical approach to problem resolution and investigation, You have teamwork and leadership attributes with excellent written and oral communication and persuasion skills, You are able to communicate at all levels and across nationalities. You will have the opportunity to lead and assure quality excellence of processes products for MAIT in Stevenage and ensure that the following are managed according to quality requirements and procedures Spacecraft Integration, Processes Methods OR Satellite Integration. The position is based in Stevenage, United Kingdom. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include You will be chairing gates reviews as defined in the project and as agreed with project PA You will be delivering quality briefs with the area manager in the shop floor to raise awareness to operators on lessons learned and good practice. You will be reviewing AIT work instructions for technical integrity, regarding product quality requirements including inspection, verification points and configuration status. You will be managing all NCRs within the defined scope in AIT using problem solving tools. Confirm nonconformances and ensure 1st closure is defined and implemented. Chair Internal Review Board IRB and set functional team for the elimination of the root cause. You will be promoting and conducting risk analyses incl. PFMEA, and taking part in the implementation and followup of preventive actions. You will be elaborating audit plan and performing flash and process audits.
