CF Industries has formed an incident investigative team to probe the cause of a death Friday at the company's construction site at its massive nitrogen complex in Ascension Parish, a company operations manager said Saturday. A Sulzer construction employee, who was working inside a completed tower more than 100 feet tall, was found unresponsive at the bottom of the vessel Friday, said Morris Johnson, CF Industries operations manager.

The Ascension Parish School Board is looking at an election date of April 2, 2016, to bring a bond proposal to voters, but the exact amount of money they want to raise and the projects they would fund have yet to be determined. Board committees have talked about using existing tax millages to borrow the money needed to build a new high school, a new middle school, three new primary schools and to add classrooms at some schools.
