As the entrepreneurial investment and risk hedging arm of the group, SES Satellite Leasing manages a growing fleet of satellites for higher risk and emerging markets. This requires an experienced Sales Planning Analyst to analyse the current assets, derive customer and market trends and provide sophisticated risk assessments. To support a further diversification of the investment portfolio with market and business intelligence, a strong knowledge of satellite, telecommunication and video markets is expected. Responsibilities Compile the entitys business plan with sales forecasts capacity, fill rates, revenues, profits, regional pricing and strategic investment avenues in close cooperation with the business development team, finance and group functions Provide contract customer reporting for SES SL assets and derive trends in all four business fields Video, Data, Mobility, Government and regions with focus on emerging markets Manage the further development of the revenue risk assessment analysis and reporting in correlation to market trends and customer relationships Derive independent market intelligence to guide the future investment portfolio for satellite and launcher procurements as well as other emerging investment opportunities Deliver commercial due diligence on a broad range of business plans and opportunities Support regional marketing and sales initiatives Experience Qualifications Academic engineering or business sciences degree with focus on telecommunication, broadcasting, or satellites Minimum 5 years relevant experience in aforementioned industries working in responsible positions in sales planning, sales, market business intelligence or consulting Strong knowledge of satellite market trends, major industrial players and regulatory frameworks Additional knowledge and experience in related fields like OTT, M2MIoT, VSAT highly welcome Network in related industry on clients and suppliers sides Fluent in English. Job description For our customer, EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany, we are looking for an Operations Planning and Scheduling Officer required as part of the Routine Operations phases of EPS, MSG, MTP, Jason2 3 and Copernicus Sentinel3. You will work in the System Operations Team within RSO, and will participate in the operations planning and scheduling of all Operations Department missions and supporting systems for all Operations related projects and Operational Services. You will take a leading role in developing the Operations Department Intranet and Extranet and also participate in the production of the service performance reports. Responsibilities The activities will typically include Coordinating and tracking all planning and scheduling across the Operations Department EPS, MTP, MSG. Jason2 3, Copernicus Sentinel3, Services etc. including operations, maintenance and user service related activities Provision of planning support to major Programme activities including the preparations for the launch and commissioning of new and recurrent satellites Support to the planning of projects, including intraproject and multiproject conflict resolution Ensuring that all planning and scheduling conflicts are resolved Organising the weekly Operations Planning and Scheduling meetings Providing planning for the Operations Management Meetings Supporting the Operations Reporting Review, actions and recommendations Supporting the production of the Central Operation Report Coordination the planning of technical activities with the Technical Scientific Support TSS Department Ensuring all plans and schedules are distributed both internally and also to external partners using email, Intranet and Extranet Coordination of the evolution and update of the Operations Department Intranet and Extranet pages for space and ground segment related activities liaising with all Operations Divisions Preparation and production of reports monthly work package report, technical reports as necessary This is a fulltime position with a foreseen start date of 10 September 2016. You will be nominally based at EUMETSATs facilities in Darmstadt, Germany, but shall be in a position to attend reviews and progress meetings held outside EUMETSAT premises. Qualifications Competencies In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you shall have experience of spacecraft andor ground segment operations. Furthermore, it would be a distinct advantage for you to have several years of experience with the following Planning and scheduling within a large project including conflict resolution Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel Experience of planning and scheduling within a 247 satellite operations environment Intranet and Extranet technology You shall be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, shall be able to work calmly and correctly under stress and must be able to work with the minimum of supervision. The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French.
