This is a permanent position, calling for experience of website implementations using Java EE and Oracle WebCenter. You will be placed on assignment based in Darmstadt near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in January 2015. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The main working language is English. The role will embrace Java EE application development embracing applications for services based on Java, Java EE, Oracle databases and the Oracle WebCenter Content Management System Oracle Administration covering Oracle WebCenter Content Site Studio for external applications SSXA servers as well as Oracle application servers WebLogic Glassfish used by web applications The key experience and attributes sought are Design, implementation, integration and testing of website and Intranet applications using Java EE and Oracle databases Experience of development with JSFFacelets, JSP, Servlets Experience in developing with JPA Hibernate, TopLink Knowledge of X HTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, XML, XST Knowledge of Oracle SQL Oracle WebCenter Content 11g installation, configuration, administration and operation Weblogic 11g and Glassfish installation, configuration, administration, clustering and operation Experience in integrating applications in Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Candidates should possess a University degree or equivalent.
