Qualcomm defends Snapdragon 810 with over 60 device wins

(Telecompaper) Qualcomm said over 60 premium mobile devices running its Snapdragon 810 processor are on their way to market. The company issued a statement highlighting the success of its most advanced processor following reports that Samsung had rejected the 810 for its next Galaxy S phone in favour of its own processor. Some of the devices using the Snapdragon 810 include the LG G Flex2 and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, and "many more" are expected to launch in the coming months, Qualcomm said. The statement also included support from Motorola Mobility, Sony Mobile, Oppo and Microsoft for the new chip. The Snapdragon 810 features LTE Cat 9 for up to 450 Mbps download, support for up to 55 megapixel cameras, 64-bit processing with quad-core ARM CPUs, 4K resolution gaming graphics and video, Wi-Fi handover and support for all major navigation systems and spectrum configurations in use in the world.
