Sensor measures surface of fuel with 1 mm resolution over measurement range up to 1.2 m. Unit operates in harsh conditions and at temperatures of -40 to +105°C. Because medium in tank is constantly in motion, wave movements or sloshing caused by reflections at tank wall are eliminated through damping, and do not directly affect measurement result.
