The successful applicant will join Navigation Apps Programmes. As a Galileo System Engineer you will work in the Galileo Service Operator team thereby providing technical assistance to GSA. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Contributing to the ongoing deployment and upcoming exploitation phase of Galileo Supporting smooth transition of new system builds to routine operations and service provision in all phases of the system build production lifecycle Performing operational validation of new system builds Contributing to the functional interface integration, testing and verification activities within the Galileo ground segment and Space to Ground in preparation of system operations engineering Supporting the evolution of Galileo Service Facilities Reviewing system and segment data packages and provision of review comments and reports. Contributing to the consolidation and update of the corresponding documentation Participating in Galileo System Engineering activities e.g. Engineering board Trouble shooting and anomaly investigation, procedure definition for data evaluation Presentation of results in front of the customer and conferences The position will be based in Oberpfaffenhofen, but will require a degree of travel within Europe. You shall be ready to be collocated to other European premises as needed.
