Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile system engineer to support our customer based near Stuttgart for the Galileo GCS project. The position will start as soon as possible but not later than 15th of April 2016. The submission deadline for interested candidates is 31st of March 2016. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES Galileo Control Segment GCS requirement analysis and verification, including definition of test plans and execution of test procedures Interface definition Technical review of software subsystems Anomaly Analysisresolution and driving consequent change processes Writing technical documentation like procedures, manual etc. QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE Engineering degree Computer engineering, Telecommunication engineering or any other related stream Knowledge of Flight Operations components Basic networking knowledge Proficiency in LINUX. We are currently looking for a System Engineer Galileo Services to support our customer in Germany. System Engineer Galileo Services Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the team, you will have the following responsibilities Support to the implementation and testing of the Galileo satellite navigation system including ground segment, processing facilities and the user navigation signal Service concept and parameter definition Service monitoring concept definition and monitoring of service parameters Support to system validation campaigns in the area of user positioning endtoend testing, system element testing and interface testing Contribution to field test activities and detailed data investigation Definition of test scenarios, test conditions, execution of test and reporting Maintenance of Galileo interface specifications. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters Degree in Navigation, Electrical Engineering, Telecoms, Physics or Aerospace Engineering Profound knowledge in satellite navigation systems architecture and applications Specific knowledge in satellite navigation concepts, data processing, ranging and positioning techniques, signal processing techniques, algorithms and ground segment processing facilities Experience with data processing and programming using C, Matlab and scripting languages Demonstrated experience in documentation for system concepts, test repots, software developments Readiness to work for a longer period in one of the European Galileo centers, in particular in Noordwijk area of Amsterdam, Munich or Prague Fluency in English is mandatory.
