In the frame of Small Satellites Design Development activites, SITAEL is looking for a Space MissionApplication Analyst, with midhigh level experience 510 years in the field of Space Engineering, preferably at system level for misssion studies relevant to the following Applications Optical, Radar, Telecom missions. A special focus will be towards the Small Satellites Constellations and mission feasibility studies. The Space MissionApplication Analyst will directly report to Space Systems Division Manager and to the assigned Project Technical Manager. The main tasks will be Design of the Mission Concept based on the Top Level Application Requirements Definition of the Mission Requirement Documents MRD Preparation of the required input data for Mission Analysis Configuration of the analythical SW environment for the orbital simulation STK Professional and also Custom SW orbital propagator Orbital behavior analysis with special focus on SC maneuvering with low thrust propulsion systems i.e. electric propulsion Optimization of the orbital scenario, with focus on large constellations scenarios Performance evaluation and analysis for EO missions coverage, revisit time, GSD and Telecom missions coverage, isolation Complete Technical Reporting and participation to the project reviews with the Customer as Mission Responsible It is required Aerospace Engineering 5y Master Degree From 5 to 10 years of experience in Space Engineering, with strong background in Mission Analysis and Simulation. It is also required a wide knowledge of Space Applications as EO OpticalSAR missions and also Telecom ones Knowlegde of Space Payloads in the frame of EO and Telecom is strongly appreciated It is preferable ta background in space misisons based on satellites consetllations Good knowledge of standard satellite lifecycle and its system engineering design and development methods Good knowledge of mission analysis tools STK Professional and capabilities in developping custom orbital propagators with additional mission analysis features Good knowledge of MS Office and Matlab Simulink Very good knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, MS VISIO, DOORS, Matlab Simulink Very good knowledge of English

Location ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands Topography Mission and Payload Performance Engineer Topography Mission and Payload Performance Engineer in the Copernicus Sentinel3 Project Division, Earth Observation Projects Department, Earth Observation Programmes Directorate Duties Copernicus Sentinel3 is an element within the Agencys Copernicus Space Component CSC Programme. The Sentinel3 project comprises the procurement of 4 nearly identical spacecraft ABC and D models. The Sentinel3A model was launched in February 2016, the B model is set for launch end 2017early 2018, while the procurement of the CD models started early 2016 and will continue until the beginning of the new decade. The holder of this post will be responsible for all Topography Mission aspects, also including the performance of the Topography Payload, which encompasses a SAR Radar Altimeter SRAL, a Microwave Radiometer MWR, a GNSS Receiver and Doris navigation equipment. The main tasks consist in Supporting the assessment and resolution of possible inflight anomalies observed on Sentinel3A and later on Sentinel3B, during their respective routine operations Phase PhaseE2 Leading the preparation of the Sentinel3B commissioning activities related to the Topography Payload establishing the associated SIOV and CalVal plans and coordinating the test and rehearsal activities of the commissioning tasks with the support of relevant experts After the launch of Sentinel3B, leading the inorbit commissioning activities of the Topography Payload PhaseE1 within the allocated schedule Supporting the Sentinel3 CD Topography Payload procurement activities within applicable schedule and cost and ensuring compliance with the relevant instrument performance requirements and the associated mission requirements Coordinating and monitoring the external support activities provided by CNES in the framework of the ESACNES cooperation agreement for Sentinel3 CD Coordinating and monitoring the Topography Mission support activities contracted to industry in the framework of the ESACNES cooperation agreement and related to the SRAL and MWR instruments. In the execution of hisher tasks, the postholder will report to the Sentinel 3 Payload Manager, while also supporting the Sentinel3 Mission System Operations Manager for those aspects related to the preparation and implementation of the inorbit commissioning phase. The Topography Mission and Payload Performance Engineer will liaise closely with the relevant Instrument Procurement Engineers within the Section and with the engineers of the other sections in the Project. Furthermore, heshe will constitute the main technical interface between the ESA Project and CNES for the implementation of the ESACNES cooperation agreement. Technical competencies Knowledge of cost and schedule aspects related to area of responsibility ESA and industrial development, verification and procurement processes Knowledge of other technical domains with interfaces to own area of responsibility Experience in mission, spacecraft andor payload operations Knowledge of ESA programmesprojects Knowledge of space projects, including instrumentation and operations Launch campaign Stateoftheart knowledge in area of responsibility at required level Commissioning in flight of Earth Observation payloads and supporting activities Behavioural competencies Communication Planning organisation Problem solving Responsible decisionmaking Results orientation Teamwork Additional requirements As the incumbent is expected to support the inflight commissioning of Sentinel3B immediately after takeup of duties, a good knowledge of the Sentinel3 Topography Payload and previous experience in commissioning activities is considered necessary. Education Applicants should have a university degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering field, together with previous experience in the development of microwave instruments for space projects. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset. The Agency may require applicants to undergo selection tests.
