Energy Measurement Tools Make Processes More Efficient While Reducing Costs
2015-11-11 10:16:58| oilandgasonline Downloads
By Steffen Brauers, KROHNE Rising energy prices have made accurate energy measurement a hot topic in recent decades. The need for accurate measurement technologies extends to many different application areas, including heating and cooling; compressed air; steam production and distribution; heavy fuel oil consumption; energy monitoring; and custody transfer. In response, new technology is being developed that integrates tasks previously requiring several measurement devices. The new technology provides far higher accuracy than older systems that require separate devices for all measurement tasks. One example is KROHNE’s OPTISWIRL 4200 vortex flowmeter, which features integrated pressure and temperature compensation. With an accuracy of 1.5 percent, it is 2 to 3 times more accurate than older systems in which the individual measurement devices have accuracies between 3 and 5 percent.

Isotropic Antennas expand EMF Measurement System capability.
2015-11-09 14:31:05| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Compatible with select handheld analyzers, isotropic antennas employ tri-axis sensors, cover 9 kHz to 6 GHz range, and support Electromagnetic Field (EMF) radiation measurements to ensure wireless networks are in compliance with national standards for personal safety. Each of 3 sensors, positioned orthogonally inside antenna housing, transmit/receive spherical radiation pattern. Internal RF switch, MCU, and memory are controlled by firmware in Anritsu handheld analyzer via USB cable.
