One our our space clienst is looking for a Junior engineer for their GNCAOCS projects. This role will include internal studies, technology developments or full subsystem development in ESA programmes. Job Description Analysis and modelling of aerospace dynamic systems satellites, planetary probes and atmospheric vehicles. Design, development and use of dynamic simulators for GNCAOCS Guidance, Navigation Control Attitude Orbit Control Systems. Design and analysis of guidance and navigation algorithms, control laws and logic, state machines and FDIR Fault Detection, Identification Recovery. Algorithm prototyping and integration in dynamic simulator. Algorithms performance assessment by simulation and analysis. Contribution to the specification, selection and technical support to the procurement of GNCAOCS equipment. Participation in the integration, test and validation of GNCAOCS systems in functional and realtime simulation environments. An idea background would be a Aerospace Engineer, Control Engineer Note Solid mathematical foundation and excellent knowledge of aerospace vehicle dynamics numerical methods, linear and rotational mechanics, orbital mechanics. Good knowledge of control analysis and design theory, both classical and modern e.g. robust control techniques, good knowledge of estimation and filtering theory. Experience required Aerospace GNCAOCS related projects, preferably in the ESA environment. Application of ESA ECSS standards ECSSE60 and ECSSE40. Must have at least three years experience. Experience with the C programming language would be appreciated. Word, Excel and MatlabSimulink.

Tasks and Responsibilities The general tasks under the contract consist of the maintenance and continuous improvement of quality management activities at GSA, including the ongoing maintenance of the ISO 9001 certification and the preparation and maintenance of other certifications that form part of the Integrated Management System. Proven participation in ISO 9001 related quality management during the last 2 years. Quality management experience provided shall include proof of ability to synthesize relevant information in support of decision making processes, andor quality assurance experience in drafting reports and management recommendations. Proven participation in the implementation of Integrated Management Systems including the application of ISO 27001 standards. Junior and Senior Ground Segment System Engineer Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. This is an opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to work for our EUMETSAT customer within a new and interesting space mission. Sentinel3 is a Low Earth Orbiting mission in the context of the Copernicus Services set up by the European Commission. The first satellite, Sentinel3A, is expected to launch mid2015 with the second satellite Sentinel3B operating in tandem and due for launch 18 months later. EUMETSATs monitors and controls Sentinel 3 satellites and generates near realtime and offline products to support the marine user community. Telespazio VEGA offers a permanent position based in EUMETSAT, Darmstadt, Germany with an expected starting date in April 2015. Application closing deadline is February 12th, 2015. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES The Ground Segment System Engineers shall support the Sentinel3 Operations with respect to EUMETSATs S3 Ground Segment maintenance and necessary evolutions, including the necessary coordination with the other S3 Ground Segments and Core Ground Stations at architectural and system engineering level and also for the related interfaces between those ground segment and within the EUMETSATs Sentinel3 ground segmentincluding the EUMETSAT MultiMission Elements. In addition, the Ground Segment Engineers shall provide support to the AIV activities during the integration of the S3 ground Segment and shall coordinate the verification of the new systems and their interfaces into the EUMETSATs Sentinel3 ground segment. The Engineers duties will include a range of tasks, from preparing and providing the support of the day to day operation and maintenance currently in the preparation phase, the analysis, and ground segment level testing of the facilities which also includes the handling of anomalies, design of upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities at overall ground segment level. The Key Persons will be the focal point when it comes to integrating the individual Facilities into a ground segment system, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including endtoend testing of the overall EUMETSAT s Sentinel3 ground segment including the EUMETSAT MultiMission Elements. Tasks will also contain the maintenance of an uptodate set of design documents and Interface Control Documents for the operational systems and shall perform technical analysis of system architecture and specification for evolutions or major upgrades of the S3 ground segment. In support to operations, the Engineer may also be required to provide on call support as part of a team of maintenance engineers, especially for the S3 commissioning and initial operations phases.
