Job Title Junior Software Engineer for Satellite Applications Post Description Software development of satellite applications primarily using remote sensing images of the earth, but also involving satellite navigation systems or satellite communications. These typically involve high performance backend processing systems and webbased user interfaces. Main Duties Partial or total development of an application, usually as part of a small team. Collaboration in phases of analysis, design of the applications, verification and testing. Documentation during the development phase and the final product. Education A university degree or similar is preferred. Professional Experience The required professional experience is 2 years development in a Linux, Unix or Windows environment with Java andor web frameworks. Other relevant professional experience is Development with other languages Working with user interfaces user experience Working with a Geographical Information System GIS Design methodologies Building Android or iOS Apps Database design and querying Web services development Technical Requirements Software Engineering Application deployment Familiarity with source control systems Language Skills English Speaking High ReadingWriting High Useful Spanish Speaking Moderate ReadingWriting Moderate Personal Skills Communication and collaboration skills Flexibility to work in new environments, new technologies or new types of work Others Possibility of working in other country for short periods of time a few days at a time

RHEA is currently recruiting for a Junior Spacecraft Operations Preparation Engineer to support the spacecraft integration of Solar Orbiter at our clients premises in Stevenage, UK. Tasks and Activities Your primary tasks and activities may include Contributing to the preparation of the Space Segment User Manual SSUM and Procedures including command, telemetry, design and operational concept descriptions, identification of operational constraints and definition of ground monitoring, flight control and contingency recovery procedures Maintenance of the SSUM and Procedures following the Spacecraft Integrator Change Control process Review of the Flight Operations Plan Provision of operations support during Spacecraft AITAIV including maintenance of validation status logs Provision of customer support during System and Operational Validation Tests preparation and execution Provision of input data needed for build of flight software versions Provision of inputs to the satellite data base Participation in formal reviews including SSUM, spacecraft, equipment and subsystem reviews.
