Nkom puts 900 MHz draft auction terms out for consultation

(Telecompaper) Norwegian telecoms regulator Nkom is putting its proposal for the 900 MHz auction out for public consultation, with a deadline of 10 August 2015. It aims to sell two blocks of 20 MHz spectrum in summer 2016. They are the duplex blocks 890.1-889.9 MHz and 935.1-944.9 MHz, and 904.9-915.0 MHz and 949.9-960 MHz. The minimum price is NOK 140 million per block. Final conditions for the auction are expected to be published in mid-October.

According to one study by University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business, economic impact of Energy Department's NREL was $872.3 million in fiscal year 2014. As noted by NREL's Dan Arvizu, "This report shows how important NREL has become in taking our ongoing research into clean energy and making it available for the marketplace so that everyone can benefit." Arvizu also noted how completion of NREL campus build-out plan enhances work on new energy technologies.
