Spanish unemployment rate falls

Spain's unemployment rate has fallen for the first time in two years, according to official figures.

UK unemployment fell by 57,000 to 2.51 million in the three months to May, the Office for National Statistics says.

Youth unemployment is "perhaps the most pressing European problem", German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said, ahead of an EU meeting.

European leaders have agreed to spend about 6bn euros (5bn; $8bn) to try to get more young people into work.
