Speed Considerations For Spurious Level Measurements With Spectrum Analyzers
2013-09-04 03:42:53| rfglobalnet Downloads
The measurement speed for spurious signal measurements is mainly defined by the spectrum analyzer sweep speed. With traditional swept spectrum analyzers and tight spurious limits the measurement can easily take hours or even a full day.By Kay-Uwe Sander

Available with cooled, sensitive CCD detectors featuring integral UV order sorting filters, Model 234/302 can make spectral measurements from 115–315 nm in milliseconds. Water and oxygen absorption can be mitigated by pumping vacuum, or by use of dry nitrogen purge. Featuring adjustable slits, scanning, and selection of diffraction gratings, spectrometer is suited for process or quality control, UV laser development, optical test and measurement, and luminescent phosphor characterization. Radiation Pattern Measurements Of The Nasa Mars Science Laboratory UHF Entry Antenna Using A Spherical Near-Field Range
2013-08-29 12:43:47| rfglobalnet News Articles
Measurements of a conical micro-strip Wraparound™ antenna array mounted on a portion of the entry vehicle for NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory mission were completed at Nearfield Systems, Inc.’s new spherical near-field range facility. The Wraparound™ antenna, designed and manufactured by Haigh-Farr, Inc., provides nearly full spherical coverage and operates in the UHF frequency band for telecommunications to orbiting assets at Mars. A summary of the measurements techniques and results are presented, along with a comparison of the measured and calculated patterns. By Paula R. Brown, David Farr, John Demas, and Jesus A. Aguilar
