Ideal candidate University degree Bachelor from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Communications as relevant, with typically 4 years of relevant experience Highly proficient in MS Office packages e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. with experience of high level Project Administration tools for data documentation management and general administration e.g. SAP Excellent planning and organisation skills and attention to detail Good communication skills Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team within the boundaries of assigned tasks and a stringent schedule Initiative and motivation to perform to high standards in a demanding environment Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the outside world Knowledge of ESA administrative and financial processes is a definite advantage Experience with SAP is an advantage Fluent in the English language spoken and written. Location ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands Description Project Controller in the Project Control Unit, Business Unit Control Office, Directorate of Human Spaceflight Robotic Exploration. The holder of this post will report to the Head of the Project Control Unit with a functional reporting line to the Project Managers of the assigned projects and direct interface with ESA corporate control, finance, and procurement, and with the industrial contractors for all matters in their domain of activities. The holder of this post will be assigned initially to the Columbus Operations project. The Project Controller is responsible for supporting the Project Managers on all activities related to project cost, schedule and risks as well as project management processes and administrative functions and for providing reporting to the Business Unit Controller, needed for the Directorates internal and external reporting. The Project Controller holds key responsibilities in the preparation, procurement and monitoring of complex procurements, from tendering to the closure of contracts, and for management, financial and planning aspects. The incumbent has multiple interfaces within and outside ESA including negotiations with industrial contractors and is key in supporting the Project Managers in the programmatic decisionmaking. Duties Typical project control duties and activities will include preparing, developing and maintaining the overall programmatic aspects of the projectmissions, including space segment, payload, launch, ground segment and Agencyprovided services.
