Magic Leap expands to Korea in partnership with SK Telecom

(Telecompaper) Magic Leap has signed a partnership agreement with South Korean operator SK Telecom. SK Telecom will be the exclusive telecommunications partner of Magic Leap in Korea. Under the terms of the deal, Magic Leap and SK Telecom plan to create an immersive media environment utilizing Magic Leap's devices, such as its spatial computing platform dubbed 'Magic Leap One', and SK Telecom's 5G network. The two companies will also work together to commercialize 5G use cases and jointly develop related AR technologies, services, and business models.

Telecom Italia revenues down 2.5% in Q4, launches new 3-year business plan

(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia (TIM) posted a 2.5 percent year-on-year fall in organic revenues to EUR 4.8 billion in the fourth quarter, with continuing recovery at its TIM Brasil unit offset by a drop of EUR 168 million (-4.2% year on year) at its domestic unit. TIM's EBITDA for the quarter amounted to EUR 2.0 billion, down 3.4 percent compared to Q4 2017 on an organic basis, with a domestic fall of 13.2 percent offset by a strong performance in Brazil. Full-year group revenues were up 0.5 percent year on year to EUR 19.2 billion on an organic basis, with 12-month EBITDA falling 3.4 percent to EUR 8.1 billion, while group capex was down 14.9 percent to EUR 4.2 billion.
