Description The Business Unit Manager Germany will work closely with RHEAs Business Development and Marketing Manager to identify and secure new business, increase RHEAs presence and revenue base in Germany. The Business Unit Manager will have primary responsibility of Key Accounts and will manage the local frame contracts. The tasks and responsibilities of the key person to be undertaken will typically include the following Acts as the Country Manager for Germany in the areas of business development, marketing and daily operations. Manages Key Accounts and supports other Accounts for international and German national programmes for manpower services and fixed price projects. Manages the frame contracts. Provides local operations management for local staff, working either out of the RHEA Darmstadt office, or on customers sites. In collaboration with the Business Development Marketing Manager as well as Senior Business Manager prepares proposals for frame contracts and RFPs. Provides support with ITTs as required. Optimizes new business opportunities leveraging from existing contractual vehicles. Cultivates and manages efficiently internal and external contactsnetwork to increase RHEA visibility towards current and prospective clients in Germany. Takes responsibility for preparing the annual Germany based new business revenue forecast in accordance with set targets. Establishes a strong and collaborative relationship with RHEA Engineering and Products section Heads Services supporting them where required on contract issues and following up on the identified new projects. Responsible for implementing a Germany based recruitment activity. Assists in ensuring a fit between client resource needs and RHEAs skills portfolio. Profile 10 years experience in a Service Delivery environment, with 5 years experience in a Business Development or Sales Support position with Client focus as a valued asset. University degree in Engineering compatible with RHEA sphere of activity plus additional Management qualifications an advantage. Familiarity of working with spacecraft operations and prime contractors. Experience with preparation of bids to ESA and Prime Contractors Proven experience in the Space sector, with in depth knowledge of Satellite systems, Ground Segment, Manned Space, Control Systems or Ground Software Systems. Excellent presentation and oral skills with an ability to listen to customers and colleagues. Fluent in written and spoken German and English. Other languages would be an asset. Description Support to the processes related to the main resources of the organizational entity i.e. budgets, manpower, staffing, including planning, execution and followup of the activities and resources budgets, manpower, missions, recharges of the Business Unit. Support to the planning, preparation, execution and followup of activities and related procurement actions as relevant managed by the Business Unit and of associated progress in terms of output schedule resources. Assessment and monitoring of the status of the procurement actions using ESA Corporate and local IT Tools including activity progress, maintenance of payment plans, correctness of financial charging, invoicing and payment. Implementing all administrative actions related to procurement and contractual matters, including data entry in ESA Corporate e.g. SAP and local application as appropriate and monitoring of financial commitments and payment milestones, invoicing, etc. Maintaining up to date the related data, performing data analysis, identifying deviations w.r.t. planstargets and production of associated reports to the responsible management and to the concerned customers. Support to the maintenance of industrial return databases for the BU, periodic verification of the BU data against ESA system for consistency, monitoring and forecasting of industrial return values for the procurements of the BU with respect to agreed targets, etc. Requirements Appropriate skills and specific experience in the following fields In addition to having a University degree Bachelor from a recognized Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Communications as relevant, with typically 4 years of relevant experience, the candidate must meet the following requirements Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken. Experience in the field of controlling of resources and activities andor financeaccounting, at administrator level andor assistant level. Familiarity with budgeting, accounting, procurements at ESA is an asset.
