Huawei previews EMUI10, to launch in September on P30

(Telecompaper) Huawei has unveiled the latest upgrade of its smartphone user interface, expected to feature on upcoming Android Q devices. Owners of the current P30 flagship series will be the first to try EMUI10, available in beta from 08 September. New features include a 'dark mode' for easier reading and lower battery consumption and increased support for interoperability with other devices.

Huawei plans expansion in services, announces new developer labs

In a statement following its Developer Conference in Dongguan, China, Huawei said its Mobile Services have over 100 million users outside China and it supports more than 910,000 developers worldwide.

Global tablet shipments down 7% in Q2, Huawei and Amazon buck trend

(Telecompaper) Second-placed Samsung and fifth-placed Lenovo exceeded market shipment growth, yet still showed declines of -1 percent and -6 percent to 4.9 million and 1.9 million, respectively. The report indicates that Samsung has been stabilising its tablet shipments over the last couple of quarters and could regain some Android customers in view of Huawei's trade difficulties outside China.
