Deutsche Telekom is in talks with U.S. cable company Comcast about a potential sale of T-Mobile US, German Manager Magazin reported on Wednesday, citing sources. Deutsche Telekom is in talks with several parties, including satellite provider Dish, according to the magazine, but Comcast is viewed as a more attractive buyer by the German telecoms provider's management.

Cinven conditional bid for Telekom Slovenije rejected

(Telecompaper) Slovenian state firm SDH announced it has rejected UK investment firm Cinven's bid for Telekom Slovenije. It said the bid was rejected because Cinven attached additional conditions to the offer submitted 20 May. SDH added it was still prepared to complete the transaction without those conditions. According to local media reports, Cinven's additional condition was that it retains a part of the purchase price until Macedonian regulators approve Telekom Slovenije's sale of its Macedonian unit One to Telekom Austria. For its part, Cinven said it remains interested in the purchase of Telekom Slovenije and open to re-evaluating the situation in the coming weeks.

Telekom Austria confirms resignation of CEO

(Telecompaper) Telekom Austria Group announced that Hannes Ametsreiter will resign as CEO of Telekom Austria and A1 Telekom Austria with effect from 31 July. In a statement, the company said that he asked the Supervisory Board for a "mutually agreed premature termination of his contract". Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Telekom Austria Group, said the board would discuss his replacement at its next meeting. Ametsreiter has been the chairman of the management board and CEO of Telekom Austria Group since April 2009, as well as CEO of A1 Telekom Austria since 2010. His contract was last extended at the start of 2014, for three years.
