For our activities in ESA Headquarters, we are currently looking for a Training Administrator. Tasks and Responsibilities As Training Administrator you will have the following main tasks and responsibilities Training Analysis Supporting the training needs analysis for specific target groups Training plan definition. Training courses implementation Updating course profiles, training catalogue and calendar Sending invitation and monitoring staff registration Organising course logistics on site or off site with appropriate partners. Booking of training facilities Dealing with cancellations Sending and consolidating course evaluation Updating training records in appropriate ESA tools Monitoring correspondence with staff members Administration of external training requests Administration and evaluation of ESA staffs requests for personal development related training courses category II Delivery of certificates Organization of newcomers training e.g. Safety Security briefing, ESA Collaboration Tools, ECSS standards, reviews, newcomers briefing and support of onboarding initiatives e.g. mentoring programme. Procurement and invoicing Liaising with external training suppliers and internal trainers to collect training proposals, quotations, setup requirements and to schedule courses on the various ESA sites Preparing letters of agreement data for Purchase Orders Processing invoices and liaising with Finance Department for payment and invoicing of contractor companies. Reporting and statistics Preparing statistics from existing training database to feed annual training report Preparing trainingrelated statistics from existing training database upon request Consolidating training evaluation within existing training evaluation database and preparing feedback reports for each training supplier Reporting any particular issue within evaluation to ESA Technical Officer. Implementation of adhoc training events Upon request of the ESA Technical representative, the services described under WP1 can be extended for the organisation of adhoc training, workshop, teamindividual coaching. Data preparation and entry in new HR Tool Success Factors A new HR management tool Success Factors is going to be deployed starting in 2016, and will contain a Learning and Development module to replace the current ESA Lotus Notes training database. Upon request of the ESA Technical representative, the service can also include Preparation of sets of data and entry of these data in the new software Requirements You should bring a completed secondary education and professional training in administrative and or clerical support, at least two years of experience and the following Experience in training administration or in managing the implementation of smalllarge events Demonstrated ability and confidence to work with various IT tools Demonstrable interest in learning and development Good communication skills, with a customerfocus Excellent organization and planning skills Attention to details Capacity to work autonomously, but with a good team spirit Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment Knowledge of ESA training tools Fluent in English and or French. Solaris and Linux System Engineer or Administrator. This is a permanent position, calling for at least 5 years experience of Solaris and Linux system administration in high availability environments. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germanyfor several years. The requirement is for a start in April 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The main working language is English. The role will embrace Installation and configuration of operating system and other software and tuning operating system parameters to optimise performance Analysis, planning and performance of hardware and software upgrades or reconfigurations Monitoring system performance, investigation into hardware and system software problems and undertaking corrective actions Ensuring that, in case of hardware or system software failures, the operational configuration can be restored, including the definition, maintenance and performance of backup procedures Liaison with external providers of hardware and system software maintenance for request and follow up of maintenance interventions Administration and installation of databases Administration of user accounts Supporting software development and maintenance in relation to the utilisation of system resources Implementation and maintenance of scripts and procedures for automated execution of the above activities. Generation or update of technical documentation in relation to system upgrades Provision of standbyoncall support At least 5 years experience of the following are required Solaris Linux RedHat or SLES High availability software Sun Cluster and Veritas Cluster Sun QFS and SAMQFS software in HA cluster environments IT system design skills Preparation of technical documentation in English in a complete and clear manner Knowledge of some of the following would be advantageous Nagios VMWare virtualization RAID arrays EMC SAN Brocade Backup and recovery systems It is an advantage if you can carry out basic hardware support like installing interface cards or physically setting up networks.
