A vacancy for a System Engineer Navigation Galileo and EGNOS mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in MunichOttobrunn. The successful applicant will join TSPED13 Future Nav Systems Programmes. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Contributing to the ongoing deployment and upcoming operation phase of Galileo Contributing to the functional interface integration, testing and verification activities within the Galileo system in preparation for the upcoming Galileo operation phase Reviewing system and segment data packages and provision of review comments and reports Contributing to the consolidation of the systemlevel design and definition including the update of the corresponding documentation Contributing to the ongoing design and development of the EGNOS V3 system Analysing navigation system algorithms and adapting them to a real time environment Designing and developing real time software modules as well as implementing and testing these modules Developing engineering models and tools in support of system verification comparing expected data with measured data Troubleshooting and anomaly investigation, procedure definition for data evaluation Supporting Galileo and EGNOS system upgrade studies Presenting results to the customer and conferences We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering, Geodesy, Physics or equivalent Extensive experience in satellite system and segment engineering and in integration and verification and operation of large ground systems Experience in GNSS receiver operation Experience in standard engineering software e.g. Doors and XSDXML, Modaf, Matlab as well as basic knowledge in CC Indepth theoretical and practical knowledge of satellitebased Navigation Systems GPS, EGNOS, GLONASS Indepth understanding of data dissemination flow and navigation message generation and processing as well as of GNSS end user constraints and GNSS applications Autonomous style of working and ability to analyse complex technical problems Fluent English and advanced German skills Please apply on line for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached. Navigation Satellite Constellation Analyst

RHEA is currently recruiting a Navigation Satellite Constellation Analyst to support the deployment of Europes navigation satellite constellation at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Maintain the strategy for the constellation deployment and maintenance, and select the constellation slots for each satellite as a function of planned launch schedule, and validity period actual launch time and launch vehicle launch and satellites constraints satellites already deployed in the constellation computation of constellation performance build up and Station Keeping SK optimisation based on Galileo SK strategy. For this matter, the staff delivering the services shall follow up the development of launch vehicle and satellite in aspects relevant to this task, in addition to assess intermediate constellation performances. This selection shall be updated as per launch schedule plan updates. Define as per SK strategy defined in IOV SCDR, taking into account launch window, potential launch periods, and other contingencies the launch window the target separation orbit for the launch vehicle and the target final orbit to reach after fine positioning. In addition the staff delivering the services shall perform sensitivity analysis of the target orbits with respect to errors launch contingencies analysis Review and evaluate operations planning, procedures preparation and evaluation, execution, reporting, and shall provide needed inputs for each satellite launched, including LEOP providers Flight Dynamics plan IOT planning from the orbital aspects point of view LEOP including fine positioning and IOT operations Final orbit position achievement Routine operations related to orbital aspects Special operations safe mode, SK manoeuvres, etc. Analysis to support to SLR campaigns Disposalgraveyard orbit optimisation minimum and maximum eccentricity growth and sensitivity to errors. Refine the Project assumptions using real data, regarding orbit determination with real and simulated data, based on Sband, angular, Lband, SLR, optical calibration of measurement systems apriori noise using covariance analysis manoeuvre planning, by reviewing actual operational experience manoeuvre error budget, by calibrating manoeuvres Evaluate of postflight data, regarding among others Sband transponder stability sun radiation pressure model thrust performance Prototype SW for functionalities that are required for the analysis and not available in available SW at the GPO Provide the necessary suitable hardware preferable a highend laptop and own Astrodynamics and Mission Analysis tools, own development tools compilers, debuggers, engineering tools MATLABtype, office tools MS Office type. Support ProjectSegmentElement reviews Follow up Operations Launch, LEOP, IOT, Fine Positioning, routine, and special operations station keeping, anomalies, graveyarding Produce the following outputs Constellation Deployment analysis e.g. which slots to fill depending on performance build up, launcher and satellite constraints, etc Prelaunch analysis and provision of target orbit for each launch and LEOP Postlaunch analysis Refinement of assumptions and requirements Technical Notes with results of items as per above, supported with analysis Contribution to System Documentation e.g. Constellation Mission Analysis RID to Segment and Element reviews SW prototypes Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Mathematical and stochastic methods and processes Applied Mathematics Classical and Celestial Mechanics Spacecraft Dynamics Orbit determination and prediction Relevant Space Environment modelling Software Engineering Operations support for orbit determination knowledgeable of the capabilities and limitations of the operational software experienced in use of that software How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
