A vacancy for a System Engineer Navigation Systems mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in MunichOttobrunn. The successful applicant will join TSPED11 EGNOS Programmes. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Overall technical authority for the EGNOS V3 project and technical point of contact for the customer ESA, GSA Technical coordination and management of the design, implementation, and verification of the EGNOS system Maintaining and developing System Engineering Metrics to monitor progress and establish forecasts Technical coordination with the segments to ensure coherency with the EGNOS system design Establishment and implementation of the System Engineering Management Plan Preparation of all necessary documentation to align with customer requirements Technical management and coordination of all internal and external EGNOS interfaces Production of technical documentation including inputs to project reports Requirements breakdown and verificationcloseout Technical change management and support to configuration control We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to degree level in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Extensive practical experience in development, implementation and verification of complex ground segments for navigation systems such as GPS, Galileo, EGNOS or WAAS Several years of experience in leading teams as well as in project management Experience in using engineering applications such as DOORS, XML, MODAF and programming languages such as C, C Experience in the identification and mitigation of technical risks Indepth theoretical and practical understanding of GNSS systems GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, EGNOS, WAAS requirements Ability to analyse and break down complex technical problems Fluent English and advanced German skills advanced French skills would be an advantage Please apply on line for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached. The working language for the position is English and therefore the keyperson must be able to work effectively in this language.
