A hearing will be held on a request to rezone property on Elizabethtown Road near Snake Road for possible use as a Sanderson Farms chick hatchery. The council will also vote on applying for a $300,000 Golden LEAF Foundation grant to extend sewer lines to the site, which would be annexed into the city.

Vallejo City Council set to approve contracts with Grocery Outlet, baseball team

The council will mull over an agreement between the city and the Vallejo Admirals Baseball Club, which would allow the players to reside at Fire Station Number 6 from May to September. Per the agreement, the team would be able to sleep and prepare meals at the station, while having access to a refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, workout area, laundry facilities and living/sleeping areas with televisions.
