Relocation assistance provided if applicable. Main responsibilities For our activities at ESOC we are looking for a Senior Unix Administrator with a good work ethic and strong Linux skills. The role will be offered as fixedterm contract until June 2018 with possibility of extension. The role is related to the maintenance and operation of an operational computer infrastructure involving a network of 1,200 servers and clients mostly SLES and Solaris based with a small percentage of Windows based serversclients. Tasks Responsibilities Operating system installation and configuration Diagnosis, reporting and correction of system software faultsuser problems Planning, preparation, testing and implementation maintenance activities such as patches and software upgrades Interfacing with 1st and 3rd line support, and other internal 2nd line support teams Installation, testing and inventory of new software packages and releases Auditing and accounting Maintenance of inhouse softwaredocumentation Performing extra support activities as requested, including working outside the normal working hours Implementation, maintenance and operation of automatic software updates and OS installation. Ideal candidate The candidate should have a relevant educational background and experience along with the following Skills Knowledge of networking concepts and experience in network problem solving Strong interpersonal skills, selfmotivation and the ability to work in a team are very important. Experience Suse Linux SLES 9 to SLES 12, including Autoyast, Zypper, LVM, Multipathing, MD Networks and protocols such as Ethernet, TCPIP, DNS, SSH, NTP, DHCP, FTP Scripting in Bash and Python, SQL HP hardware, including storage arrays VMware ESX Server and vCenter Oracle Solaris 8 and 10 Oracle SPARC hardware and disk arrays NetApp MariaDB, MySQL and Oracle databases Hadoop HP or Brocade Fibre SANs Use of Microsoft Office products and Lotus Notes ITIL. Education Personal Very good command of English Knowledge of German is an advantage ITIL qualifications an advantage. Senior Engineer, Spacecraft Subsystem Payload Context The incumbent ensures six sigma satellite payload availability by providing highly specialized engineering expertise in payload in all phases of a satellite life cycle from satellite specification to build phase and operations. HeShe is responsible to ensure that satellite health and safety is maintained all along its life cycle. Heshe plans, coordinates and performs required RF transponder testing and preparing and executing the required procedures for payload recovery in case of anomalies. Responsibilities Provide primary support for inorbit fleet payload operations Support satellite operations activity through payload procedure development, training, limitsalerts review and data trending Review and maintain satellite operational documentation for communication subsystem for inorbit fleet Support the anomaly management process through anomaly reviews, corrective action development and payload performance analysis for the inorbit fleet Provide 247on call support during payload system testing and during spacecraft operating life for anomaly resolution Maintain technical interface with Satellite Manufacturer and Spacecraft Operations to ensure proper communications of requirements, performance and anomaly resolution for payload subsystem Participate in design reviews, satellite test activities and review of payload technical documentation in preparation for start of service for new satellites Travel as required Experience Qualifications Masters Degree or equivalent, with a specialization which includes telecommunication 15 years related work experience in RF engineering work, ideally in relation to spacecraft disciplines Understanding of payload architecture, design and manufacturing RF equipment, repeater and antenna subsystem Link budget Repeater RF performance measurement Integration and testing Quality control essentials Experience in High Throughput Satellite Engineering is an asset Experience in Radio Network Engineering is an asset Experience in spacecraft payload mission specification is an asset Experience in satellite procurement activities is an asset Ability to work day to day inorbit fleet issues and operations with other members of space operations and space engineering teams Excellent communications skills both written and oral Strong computer software skills required We offer you A diverse workplace. Midlevel SOC Analyst At least 3 years of experience Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include You will act as the first line of response regarding the potential occurrence of a cyber attack or security incident. You will be working using several automated tools such as intrusion detection systems, log correlation engines and SIEM, ticketing system, alerts and warning from internal and external sources, You will receiving, triaging and responding to alerts, requests and reports, and analysing events and potential incidents and to provide the primary support for incident responders.
